About
Business of Software 2008 is being run by Joel Spolsky and Neil Davidson. We want to run a conference that inspires and teaches people about the business of software. Although the conference has a strong software focus you don't have to be a geek to come. Last year we had product managers, development managers, marketeers and project managers turn up, and they all enjoyed themselves. We're trying to put together an eclectic mix of sessions. We're inviting speakers who we have something to learn from, who we think are cool or who we want to hear speak. We're hoping you will too.
Joel Spolsky is founder and CEO of Fog Creek Software. He is also the creator and author of Joel on Software, arguably the most well read and important blog about software on the internet.
Neil Davidson is co-founder and joint CEO of Red Gate Software. He considers himself a thought-follower in the business of software, hence the conference.

Business of Software 2007 was a huge success. 150 attendees came from 30 US states and 12 different countries, from as far afield as Brazil, Mexico, Denmark and the Czech Republic.
